What is it?
ASUS backs select LCD displays with a Zero Bright Dot guarantee to ensure that your product performs to the highest quality.
How Does it Work?
If your select LCD display has even one single bright dot, ASUS may repair or replace the unit. Exclusions apply and subject to verification. For more information please refer to your product warranty card or contact ASUS here.
What is a Bright Dot?
A bright dot is a sub-pixel defect that is permanently "on", displaying a colored (red, green or blue) spot on the display at all times. A dark dot is a sub-pixel defect that is permanently "off". Please note that dark dots are not included in the ZBD program.
Pixel Acceptance Detail
LCD panels are made up of millions of micro electronic pixels. If one pixel is no longer lit, it will become a bright or dark pixel. By ISO 13406-2 standards, ASUS conforms to the acceptance spot level which lies between 3 to 5 bright/dark pixel defects. In order to deliver ultimate vision experience to you, panels that contain less than or equal to the above number of spots, then it is considered an acceptable LCD monitor. - Bright sub-pixel defects (0 max)
- Dark sub-pixel defects (5 max)
- Total combined bright and dark sub-pixel defects (5 max)
